Celifornia.com does sound a little strange, so here is why it’s called that. I went to college in Los Angeles, and as an effort to keep in touch with friends and family back home, I wanted to set up a site. Being in California, what else could I have named it than something that resembles the name of the place I was at. As California.com was taken (go figure...), I decided to do something “funny” and name it celifornia.com. I am long gone from California, but the name kind of stayed with me.
It used to be at first a site like I mentioned above showing my American adventures, then I met Yuka, and it kind of sidetracked into some Hungaro-Japanese community page. That didn’t last long, about a year, and it got abandoned by me (most of all) and all the readers as well.
Since then, we lived for a while in LA, then in Tokyo which was followed by 3 years in Budapest, and we are now in Dubai since 2008 May. As our life has come to a slower stage, I decided to revamp Celifornia.com, and this that you see is what my efforts came down to.
Hope you enjoy the “Celifornia ride”, cheers
That would be me on the left
(riding a cab in Cairo), but as the picture won’t tell much, here are some more info:
I am Benedek Frank (28), a Hungarian national, currently living and working in Dubai (UAE) with my Japanese wife, Yuka, and our Dachshund (dog) Momo. More about them later in the blog / picture gallery
Little more about the site....
