Hi
So you’ve got an iPhone at a carrier other than AT&T, but would still like to get your voicemail? You are just as demanding as I am, but luckily there is a solution for us. You can set the voice mail button to auto-dial a preset number that connects you to your voicemail service. This however still doesn’t solve the issue of not getting notified by SMS when I receive a voicemail, but still a step forward in the iPhone mystery world….
Carry on reading for the fix….

Hi,
I guess the title puzzles you… no wonder, it is a puzzle to me too. Anyhow, the story is the following:
In old days, or maybe even now, smaller villages and towns were giving away titles to people who kept a tidy household and a neat garden. “Tiszta Udvar, Rendes Ház” literally means Clean Garden, Tidy Hose. This title usually was won if there were nice flowers in the front yard, no rusted out old Lada, Trabant, or any other ex-communist made cars, etc. I remember as a child, I often visited to villages with my parents, and we were counting these titles with my sister. If I sat on the left of the car, I would count them on the left side, and she would count the ones on the right. To be honest, I don’t pay much attention to these signs, and I have a feeling that this is long gone with the old system, but I may be wrong.
The funny thing about the picture my father just sent to me, is that he found one of these signs in a village around the Lake Balaton, and from the state of the sign I am guessing it doesn’t really belong there anymore, but I will let you decide, have a look at the picture,
Cheers

I always had/have a server at home serving our basic IT needs like Email, Web and file sharing. I do have a very powerful one, an IBM Netfinity M20 5500 with 4 CPUs, RAID 5 SCSI disks, etc, but I found it a bit overkill for our needs at home, and the electricity bill did nothing but backed my statement up. Therefore I was out (out = googling) on a hunt for a small and silent, energy efficient server. I found several types and kinds, but the one I settled for I believe serves our needs perfectly with a barely noticable 11W/h energy hunger.

So here we go, got the first software unlocked iPhone 1.1.2 OTB in Hungary. The solution just came out, it was announced on Geohot’s blog, and putting the raw notes together, my great friend Marios helped me out to finish in success. I believe this is the first 1.1.2 OTB (Out of the box) iPhone unlocked in Hungary.

So here we go again about the iPhone you may say, as blogs, news and forums are all full, way way full of stories about the iPhone. That being sad, I also have my own story re the iPhone. It started back in August 2007, when I ordered my first iPhone from Ebay. At that time, people were scared to buy iPhones from ebay, as due to the great demand, there were many hoaxes posted. Since I was more anxious of having it than scared of losing the $500 I invested, I ordered my 4GB model. I have a great deal of history with Ebay, and I have been a member since 2002 or so, back when I lived in the US. Even since, I bought and sold kind of a lot on ebay, so my confidence is somewhat greater than other Hungarians, which is why I got my hands on one of the first iPhones in the Hungarian market.

Having returned from our recent Far-East journey we came back with two brand spanking new Apple products. One 13″ White MacBook for myself, and a shiny new Aluminium iMac 20″ for Yuka.
These things are really outstanding, and we have completely moved over and migrated to Apple Gear. Since than (October 2007) I am only focusing on buying things with a ridiculously snobbish Apple logo on it. Anyways, long story short, we have now an overstock of Laptops and Desktops at home. This list doesn’t include my work Dell laptop, and the 3 servers I have at home. I will repost later with more pics, this post is actually mainly to test the new blog software, and also to show off these ridiculous pictures.
Enjoy,
Ben
